OIV-13/03/2006 - China first wine exposition was held from 24 to 26 February in Shanghai.

OIV-13/03/2006 - 中国首届国际葡萄酒博览会于2006年2月24-26日在上海成功举办。

At this occasion, Prof. Dr. Reiner Wittkowski, President of the OIV has underlined, during the inaugural ceremony, the importance of the openness of China to wine culture. Stating that China is currently the fourth largest wine growing country in the world, he invited China to join the international wine family and become a full member of the OIV. China needs international exchange in all fields of wine culture and business to accompany its growth.
国际葡萄与葡萄酒组织主席Reiner Wittkowski教授出席了博览会的开幕式并发表了重要讲话，他强调中国葡萄酒产业的开放对促进世界葡萄酒文化的发展具有十分重要的作用。中国是当今世界上第四大葡萄酒产业快速发展的国家，他诚挚地邀请中国加入到国际葡萄酒的大家庭中来，成为国际葡萄及葡萄酒组织的成员国。同时，中国在壮大自己的酒产业的进程中也需要与世界各国在葡萄酒文化和贸易领域进行不断的交流。
