Chateau Pichon Longueville 1999

The wine has a fine, deep colour with a cherry tint. Though red berry fruit and cherry notes are soon apparent, the nose is dominated by the blackcurrant aromas typical of the appellation, over more subtle hints of oak. The dense, powerful attack leads into a well-forward though restrained structure on the palate, over round and already well-integrated tannins. Fruit flavours combine with more complex and very evident notes of toasted almonds, vanilla and roast coffee as the wine builds to a highly expressive, long and generous finish that reveals all the richness and potential of this fine Pauillac.

ESSER VINEYARDS MERLOT 2004

Medium bodied wine. Ruby red, strong aroma of plum and blackberry. Made from selected grapes of Napa Valley, the wine is round in the mouth with a palate of blackcurrant, strawberry and chocolate. Matured tannin and long finish.

Coldstream Hills Pinot Noir 2005

Coldstream Hills Pinot Noir is a benchmark cool-climate Pinot Noir that displays hallmark varietal characters and style. The wine is made using a variety of handling and fermentation techniques, mostly borrowed from Burgundy. As a result, the wine has a fruit-driven palate, a supple, silky mouth-feel and pronounced length. This varietal wine is designed to be enjoyed upon release - attractive when young, but certainly will reward careful cellaring.

The wine has a very vivid rose-color with light violaceous shades. The scents are at first impact floral with agreeable scents of ripe fruits like blackbarries and raspberries. On the palate is notimmediately noticed the high acidity , but an agreeable sensation of delicacy that seems to be nearly sweet. In the ending, the joviality of the wine does express best the well balanced and well-bodied acid vein.
